Several full-time opportunities are open across multiple welcoming school sites, working with Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a comparable role in an educational setting
- Comfortable assisting children with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering
- Enthusiasm for working with early elementary age groups (TK-K) or supporting older elementary students (1st-5th grade)
- Completion of required district para training prior to start
- Reliability and willingness to travel daily to the assigned school site; candidates should account for regional travel and toll considerations beforehand
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to classroom teachers, helping implement lesson plans and classroom routines
- Assist individual students or small groups to reinforce instruction and support academic or social needs
- Foster a caring, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Offer hands-on help with classroom activities and transitions
- Support students with varying needs, including assistance with toileting as needed
- Supervise and engage students during class, recess, and arrival/dismissal times
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and fellow aides
