Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join our team in our Livermore Office. The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly understand project scope and objectives.
- Understand resources needed to reach objectives and manage those resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Understand project budget prepared by the Estimating team.
- Track project costs to meet budget.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to internal and external stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Respond to all customer communication within 24 hours.
- Work with the General Foreman/foreman and the customer in order to prepare monthly billings for submission to the accounting department;
- Work alongside assigned Project Engineer daily
- Identify work outside of project scope and prepare change orders to capture the billings and cost associated with this work;
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution;
- Monitor progress and make timely adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Attending jobsite meetings

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field not required by highly encouraged
- 2-4 years of project management and related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Experience managing projects at a company(s) as both a General Contractor and Subcontractor
- Experience with Caltrans, California State public work projects, Traffic Control and low-voltage electric projects preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Driving to work sites.
