We are actively seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join a fast-moving recycling and materials processing operation. In this hands-on role, you will operate loaders and excavators to support production across a high-volume yard, helping convert reclaimed materials into valuable resources that contribute to major infrastructure projects. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Operate loaders and excavators to move, sort, and position materials throughout the yard
- Maneuver equipment safely in an active environment with personnel and other machinery present
- Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with basic upkeep to ensure reliability
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to maintain steady production flow
- Follow all site safety guidelines and actively support a zero-incident work culture
- Adapt to changing site conditions, material demands, and operational priorities
- Keep work areas organized and maintain awareness of surroundings at all times
To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders or excavators
- Strong focus on safety and the ability to remain alert in busy work environments
- Consistent attendance and reliability in a production-driven setting
- Background in recycling, aggregate, asphalt, or concrete operations is helpful
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing daily checks and minor maintenance
- Team-first mindset with effective communication skills and a proactive work style
