Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Templeton, California. This travel - temporary assignment starts 08/17/2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,454-$2,603 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Assignment is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Hiring organization Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, monitoring, triage during labor, and postpartum care
- Administer prescribed medications and analgesia; manage IVs and fluids; coordinate anesthesia as ordered
- Monitor fetal status through continuous electronic fetal monitoring; recognize and respond to distress per protocol; collaborate with the obstetric team
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery, including support during vaginal births, cesarean deliveries, and emergent procedures
- Document all nursing care in the electronic medical record (Epic) with accurate, timely notes and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and safety
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification
- At least two years of recent experience in labor and delivery or a closely related field
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to work 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night shifts
- Capacity to work in a hospital Labor & Delivery setting
