Position Summary

Neill Aircraft Company is seeking a Driver to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely transporting materials, products, and supplies between customers, vendors, and company locations while ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to providing excellent service while supporting daily manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company truck (3 tons and under) to transport materials, products, and supplies.
  • Verify loads against shipping documents prior to departure.
  • Palletize, wrap, and band parts and cartons to ensure materials are protected during transport.
  • Deliver materials in good condition while meeting scheduled delivery and pickup times.
  • Pick up materials from vendors and customers and obtain required signatures for received shipments.
  • Maintain accurate drivers logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections of assigned vehicle, including tires, lights, fuel, and other operating systems.
  • Operate a forklift to safely load, unload, and transport materials to designated locations.
  • Complete required shipping, delivery, and receiving documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work effectively with supervisors and team members to support production schedules and customer commitments.

Qualifications

  • Valid California Driver's License required.
  • Driving record must be approved by the company's insurance carrier prior to hire.
  • Previous delivery, warehouse, shipping, or driving experience is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and time management.

Additional Requirements

  • Due to export control regulations, this position requires access to U.S. Munitions List (USML) technical data. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or otherwise authorized by the U.S. government to access controlled technical data.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent sitting while operating a company vehicle, as well as regular reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position also requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
