A well-established manufacturing company in Huntington Beach is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join its production team. The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, repairing, and disassembling pumps and related components using hand and power tools while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This position also provides support for shipping and packaging operations as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, and disassemble pumps and related mechanical components according to specifications and work instructions.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Perform general mechanical assembly and production-related duties.
- Inspect parts and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and address minor assembly issues as they arise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with shipping, packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment as needed.
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and production standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of shipping and/or packaging experience.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and assembly procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable with an excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
