Job Description
- Conduct daily safety inspections of vessels, docks, piers, and facilities to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Document findings and communicate safety concerns, corrective actions, and recommendations to employees, contractors, and customers.
- Enforce OSHA, company, and customer safety standards, including PPE, fall protection, confined space, electrical safety, fire prevention, and hazard communication requirements.
- Investigate hazards, support corrective actions, and stop unsafe operations when necessary.
- Perform safety training, testing, reporting, and recordkeeping using Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
- Work effectively in physically demanding environments, including heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Safety, Science, Technical field, or equivalent experience (HS Diploma/GED with relevant experience).
- OSHA Maritime Safety training and related OSHA certifications preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills.
- Experience working with employees, contractors, management, and regulatory agencies.
