The Order Picker Operator is responsible for efficiently and safely operating equipment to select and move stock within a warehouse or distribution center. This role demands careful attention to safety procedures and precise handling of goods to ensure timely order fulfillment and support overall warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate order picking machinery and equipment to retrieve and transport inventory
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate and efficient order picking
- Report equipment faults or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
- Keep the work area clean and organized to facilitate smooth operations
- Support loading and unloading of materials as needed
