The Los Angeles Unified School District, One of the Largest School Districts in the Country, is currently seeking a certified School Psychologist (Full-time).
As a School Psychologist Certified Staff Member you will be responsible for:
- Providing psychological services to general education students and students with disabilities
- Conducts psycho-educational assessments to assist in determining eligibility for special education services and the development of educational programs
- Consulting with school personnel, parents and others concerned with the progress of students
- Providing individual and group counselling sessions.
- When qualified, provides such services in the student's primary language or to deaf children using communication skills for the deaf when appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Required: General Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist
- Successful experience as a school psychologist, school counselor, or teacher in a public school setting
- Successful full-time public school service in a certified position(s) in programs and/or services involving exceptional students
- Knowledge and experience establishing and implementing a school-wide RtI/SST Model
- BCBA
