Join Our Team: Rental Technician
Quinn Rental Services operates through The Cat® Rental Store in Southern and Central California. Our fleet includes the latest models from Caterpillar and over 70 other manufacturers. This selection gives you access to well-maintained, high-performance equipment whenever you need it.
Quinn Company is seeking a Rental Technician to support our rental fleet by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Caterpillar and allied equipment. This role focuses on fast, high-quality turnaround to ensure rental machines are safe, reliable, and ready for customers.
Position: Rental Technician
Location: Oxnard
Rate: $33-$41.50

Requirements:
- Performs advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on Caterpillar and allied rental equipment
- Inspect rental equipment upon return and prior to re-rental
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM services, fluids, filters, inspections)
- Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Identify damage or excessive wear and document findings
- Prepare equipment to be rent-ready in a timely manner
- Ensure all machines meet safety and compliance standards
- Use Caterpillar diagnostic tools and service manuals
- Support field service calls and shop as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- PM services, 90-day bits, ansi
- Replacing or rebuilding parts like engines, transmissions, and hydraulics
- Documenting repairs and service report
- Responding to breakdowns at customer job sites
- Swapping or repairing machines quickly to minimize downtime
- Ability to operate equipment and function test machines
- Follows all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area
- Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
- Perform other work-related duties as directed or assigned
- Required to work overtime if needed
