Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference this fall by supporting young learners as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting. This full-time contract role serves Preschool through 5th grade students during the semester from August 5th to December 19th, working 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students spread across two elementary sites, providing essential OT services that empower children to thrive academically and socially.
Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy, along with strong collaboration and communication skills, will help shape positive outcomes for students with diverse needs. You’ll conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations, actively participate in IEP meetings, generate detailed progress reports, and partner closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure every learner’s success.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Prior experience working in pediatric or elementary school settings
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management abilities
- Skilled in conducting assessments and creating treatment plans
- Collaborative approach with educators, families, and other specialists
- Familiarity with IEP process and compliance requirements
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to elementary students
