- 1 to 2 years of experience working as a warehouse lead with a clear understanding of warehouse operating procedures and protocols
- Full understanding of the pick, pack, and ship process in a distribution environment
- RF scanner experience highly desired
- Experience operating sit-down, stand-up reach, cherry picker, or turret forklifts
FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Warehouse Area Lead to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for leading team members, coordinating workflow across warehouse zones, supporting pick, pack, and ship processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring safe and efficient movement of product. The ideal candidate will have warehouse leadership experience, strong knowledge of distribution processes, equipment operation experience, and the ability to lead by example while keeping operations organized and on track.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting a team to keep warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently
- Training, mentoring, and developing team members
- Coordinating workflows across warehouse zones to meet daily goals
- Receiving, stocking, and organizing incoming products
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment with accuracy
- Palletizing, labeling, weighing, and wrapping outgoing shipments
- Loading and unloading shipments safely and efficiently
- Performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and turret trucks
- Using RF scanners and warehouse systems as needed
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Conducting daily equipment inspections
- Following all warehouse safety protocols and operating procedures
- Supporting daily warehouse, distribution, and shipping needs as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- 1 to 2 years of warehouse lead experience preferred
- Strong understanding of pick, pack, and ship processes
- Experience with RF scanners highly desired
- Experience operating sit-down, stand-up reach, cherry picker, or turret forklifts
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- English communication skills required for safety and operations
- Proactive mindset with solid problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, palletize, wrap, and move warehouse products and materials as needed
- Ability to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, cherry pickers, turret trucks, and related equipment as assigned
- Ability to use RF scanners, labels, warehouse systems, and shipping documentation throughout the workday
- Ability to perform repetitive movements related to picking, packing, stocking, labeling, wrapping, and material handling
- Ability to work in a warehouse or distribution environment while following all safety procedures
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed
Salary Range: $19.50/hour
