A pharmacy staffing opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to provide per diem coverage across several Northern California regions, including Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern CA (Redding, Chico). This role is designed for pharmacists seeking flexible, additional shifts during the busy holiday season and beyond.
Location:
- Sacramento, CA, with travel required to Bay Area and Northern California locations
Schedule:
- Per diem shifts, averaging 1-2 per week, based on coverage needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional pharmacy services in retail settings
- Manage pharmacy operations including opening and closing duties
- Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring smooth workflow
- Administer immunizations as certified
- Utilize pharmacy software (McKesson’s Enterprise/ERx) for prescription processing and inventory management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active pharmacist license
- Immunization certification required
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience managing pharmacy operations and supervising staff technicians
- Comfortable commuting within the greater Sacramento area and wider Northern California regions
