Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

This role involves safely operating forklifts and related equipment to move, load, and organize materials while supporting warehouse, logistics, and operations teams. You will handle material movement, packaging, and general labor tasks to ensure efficient and orderly flow of inventory and equipment across the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the facility and outdoor areas.
  • Palletize, package, wrap, and secure materials to prepare them for transportation and storage.
  • Assist with the relocation of equipment, tooling, and inventory in support of facility changes or construction activities.
  • Load and unload trucks and transport materials to designated locations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Organize, restock, and maintain materials, supplies, and inventory to keep work areas orderly and well stocked.
  • Perform general labor duties, including lifting, carrying, sorting, and staging materials as required.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to support daily operations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to complete project-related tasks and meet operational deadlines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating forklifts and handling materials.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, yard, or industrial environment.
  • Current forklift certification.
  • Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, sorting, and staging materials.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Experience using pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
  • Attention to safety procedures and ability to operate equipment in a controlled and responsible manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr.
