Position Responsibilities

Provide direct support to students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs.
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of school staff.
Assist students in developing positive social, communication, and self-regulation skills.
Support classroom instruction and reinforce academic goals.
Collect data on student behaviors and progress.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with students with behavioral needs required.
Experience in school settings, ABA, autism support, or special education preferred.
Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Must meet California paraprofessional requirements and pass all required background clearances.
