We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Full-Time Pharmacist to join our clinical team and help drive our mission of outstanding community care.
Position Overview
The Full-Time Pharmacist will oversee daily prescription dispensing operations, provide clinical medication therapy management, offer direct patient consultations, and ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role requires an individual with exceptional clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a dedication to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Dispensing & Safety: Accurately compound and dispense prescribed medications, ensuring precise dosage, checking for drug-drug interactions, and performing meticulous final clinical verifications.
- Patient Counseling & Care: Provide comprehensive counseling to patients regarding correct drug administration, potential side effects, storage, and therapeutic compliance.
- Clinical Services: Administer immunizations and health screenings; manage medication therapy management (MTM) programs to improve patient health outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full operational compliance with all California State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA guidelines, and local, state, and federal laws.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and clerks, maintaining a highly collaborative, efficient, and professional workspace.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm) from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Active and in good standing Pharmacist License in the State of California.
Immunization: Active CPR/BLS certification and California authorization to administer immunizations.
Experience: Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting is preferred (passionate new graduates with clinical rotation experience are welcome to apply!).
Competencies: Outstanding communication skills, high clinical accuracy, strong problem-solving skills, and a warm, empathetic customer service mindset.
