An exciting opportunity awaits for dedicated Special Education professionals to make an impact in a school setting near Clearlake, CA. This full-time contract role is focused on serving students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN) from kindergarten through 4th grade, with a manageable caseload of 14 students. The assignment follows a standard 186-day school calendar for the 26/27 school year, and workdays run 7.5 hours, with an additional hour weekly dedicated to collaborative staff meetings.

Pay for this position ranges from $40 to $45 per hour, reflecting the value placed on your expertise and commitment.

Qualifications:

  • Current CTC Certification is required for all applicants.
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher and knowledge of strategies for ESN populations preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to unique student needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to K-4 students with extensive support needs in accordance with IEPs.
  • Create and maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and learning.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instructional approaches as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
