Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fiber Laser Operator / Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating fiber laser cutting equipment, working with sheet metal fabrication processes, and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate fiber laser cutting machines to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform sheet metal fabrication tasks including cutting, forming, bending, and assembly.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet customer requirements and production deadlines.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Fiber Laser operating experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of Sheet Metal Fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and fabrication environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CNC-controlled laser equipment.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with quality inspection procedures.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
