We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Transportation Coordinator to support daily transportation, dispatch, scheduling, and logistics operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in transportation coordination, logistics, dispatching, fleet operations, or customer service who enjoys solving problems and keeping operations running smoothly.
The Transportation Coordinator will work closely with drivers, transportation providers, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate services, maintain accurate records, resolve transportation issues, and ensure all services are completed safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules, routes, and dispatch activities.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding service needs and schedule changes.
- Track transportation activity and monitor services for timeliness and efficiency.
- Assist with fleet scheduling and help ensure vehicles are ready for scheduled transportation needs.
- Resolve scheduling, transportation, and service-related issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records related to transportation activity, billing, invoicing, costs, and vehicle usage.
- Assist with vendor management, service evaluations, and contract-related processes.
- Monitor transportation expenses and support cost-control efforts.
- Ensure transportation services follow company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare reports related to transportation performance, service levels, and costs.
- Respond to client or member questions and concerns regarding transportation services.
- Support transportation procedures, special projects, and additional operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, scheduling, fleet coordination, or customer service.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and transportation databases.
- TripMaster or similar transportation scheduling software experience is highly preferred.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
