Job Title: Construction Management Representative (CMR) – Water & Wastewater Systems
Location: Death Valley National Park, California
Project Duration: Approximately from Sept 2026 to March 2029
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Management Representative (CMR) to provide full-time, on-site oversight for a major infrastructure project rehabilitating water and wastewater systems at Furnace Creek and Cow Creek within Death Valley National Park. The project involves replacing service laterals, upgrading pump stations, developing a new well, and repairing wastewater lagoons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Oversight: Serve as the primary on-site representative, documenting daily construction progress, workmanship, and quality.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily reports with photographs, maintain submittal logs, and manage RFIs using ProjectTeam software.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor contractor compliance with Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and OSHA standards; review certified payrolls for labor compliance.
- Project Controls: Assist with independent cost estimates, schedule analysis, and proposal evaluations for contract modifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience preferably in water and wastewater systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Proven experience with water treatment (pumps, piping), wastewater systems (lagoons, lift stations), and vertical building construction.
- Education/Certification: OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training is mandatory.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Adobe PDF, and construction management software (e.g., ProjectTeam).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and climb unassisted in a hot, arid desert environment for extended periods
