Host Responsibilities
-
Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
-
Escort guests to their assigned dining area and present menus
-
Use visual cues to seat guests based on availability and guest preference
-
Inform guests of current promotions and ensure a smooth handoff to the service team
-
Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate guest service
-
Manage the flow of guests into the dining area and provide accurate wait times when needed
-
Prioritize guests with reservations
-
Remain observant of guest needs throughout the dining experience

Support dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages
-
Protect the establishment and guests by following sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies
Floor Assistant Responsibilities

Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
-
Promptly greet guests once they are seated and provide water
-
Remove used tableware between courses and provide new tableware as needed
-
Clear tables after guests leave and bring tableware to the dish area
-
Clean and reset tabletops, chairs, booths, and surrounding floor areas between seating
-
Respond appropriately to guest requests
-
Assist with prompt food delivery
-
Thank guests as they are leaving
-
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations
-
Follow direction from the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
-
Attend scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement

Assist with additional tasks as needed, including light food preparation when necessary
What You’ll Bring to the Table
-
Minimum 2 years of serving experience required
-
Paid Food Handler Card training provided
-
Responsible Beverage Service certification, if required
-
Ability to provide friendly, professional, and attentive guest service
-
Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
-
Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
-
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
-
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
-
Flexible and adaptable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
-
Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
-
Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
-
Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements and food handling safety standards
