Job Description

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity and make a difference for students in the vibrant Los Angeles area. Full-time speech-language pathologists are needed for a contract role serving multiple campuses across one of the nation’s largest school districts. Your assignment would begin August 11, 2026, and run through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to impact diverse learners in grades preschool through high school. With a hard cap set at 1 hour or 20 miles for commuting, your travel will stay manageable, even if itinerant across up to four school sites (averaging two).

Your caseload will primarily consist of 55–60 students, allowing you the opportunity to provide direct services while focusing on evaluation and therapy—no case management responsibilities, as this is handled on-site at each campus. Assessment materials will be reimbursed, supporting your ability to deliver top-notch services.

Desired Background and Experience:

  • Hold an active California SLP license
  • Possess a valid CTC document (preliminary/clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance)
  • Master’s degree in speech-language pathology required
  • CCC-SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome (CFs must have supervision arranged)
  • Experience in school settings highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students across age groups
  • Complete evaluations and contribute to IEP processes as part of a collaborative team
  • Travel between assigned school sites within the established commuting cap
  • Collaborate with existing case managers, educators, and families for student success

This in-person role offers the satisfaction of in-school impact without case management duties. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive support structure, opportunities to work with diverse caseloads, and coverage for assessment materials.

Ready to apply your expertise in a dynamic and supportive educational setting? Secure your spot for the upcoming school year—apply today to be considered!
