Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology license in California
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP roles strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and team collaboration
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for students
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document student progress, maintain records, and complete required reporting in accordance with district and legal guidelines
  • Offer prevention, intervention, and consultative services within the school community
  • Educate staff and families about speech and language disorders, offering strategies to support student success
