Location:

Pasadena, CA – On-site. Enjoy working alongside an experienced leadership team while staying closely connected to customers, field operations, and major commercial projects throughout Southern California.

Note:

Candidates must have 8+ years of directly relevant HVAC mechanical contracting project management, estimating, or design experience, a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), and experience developing business. Local Southern California candidates are strongly preferred due to the business development responsibilities of this role.

Job Description

  • Develop and grow client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Manage commercial HVAC mechanical projects from initial concept through closeout.
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, budgets, forecasts, and contract documentation.
  • Oversee project financial performance including forecasting, cost control, billing, and change orders.
  • Coordinate engineering, purchasing, accounting, construction, and field operations.
  • Lead customer meetings and maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project schedules and installation sequencing with field leadership.
  • Mentor project management and sales team members while supporting recruiting and team development.
  • Ensure successful project execution while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvements in estimating, engineering, and project delivery processes.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of commercial HVAC mechanical contracting experience in project management, estimating, design, or a combination.
  • Experience managing HVAC projects ranging from approximately $50K to large-scale commercial projects.
  • Proven business development and client relationship experience.
  • Strong financial management, estimating, and contract administration skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with construction software such as Bluebeam, Smartsheet, FastEst, BidTracer, IFS, JDE, or similar is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
