Join a growing electrical and low-voltage contractor specializing in building automation systems, structured cabling, and integrated technology solutions. We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger team, oversee full-cycle accounting operations, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader with strong construction accounting experience who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and partnering with leadership to drive business success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the general ledger team and oversee full-cycle accounting operations
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and consolidations
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis
- Support external audits and coordinate requested documentation
- Analyze financial data and resolve complex accounting issues
- Collaborate with finance leadership on strategic initiatives and reporting needs
- Drive process improvements and workflow efficiencies
- Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Support hiring, training, and performance management activities
- Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and operational improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- 5+ years of Accounting Manager experience within a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of general ledger and full-cycle accounting
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Construction accounting expertise, including project accounting and job costing
- Experience with AP, AR, and cash management processes
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting external audits
- Excellent communication and team management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP
- Background in electrical contracting, construction, or related industries
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives
- Building automation, building management systems, or structured cabling industry experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
