Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood education team in Sacramento, CA. Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care and supervision for infants in a safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Implement age-appropriate Montessori-inspired activities to support cognitive, social, and physical development
- Maintain accurate daily logs including feeding, sleeping, and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety, and compliance with state childcare regulations
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to create a cohesive, nurturing learning community
- Support diapering, feeding, and soothing routines with patience and professionalism
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), infant/toddler units preferred
- Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of or interest in Montessori philosophy and child-led learning
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass a background check and meet California Community Care Licensing requirements
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with infants
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with families
