Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility to obtain it in California
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience with assessments, counseling, and intervention services within a school setting
- Proficient in conducting Individualized Education Program (IEP) evaluations
- Ability to interpret educational assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Strong organizational skills with a collaborative spirit
- Compassionate, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students referred for evaluation
- Participate in the development and review of IEPs, providing insights into students’ needs
- Offer counseling and crisis intervention as appropriate for individual students or groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective interventions
- Support the development of behavior management or mental health plans
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance standards
- Provide consultation and training for school staff on topics related to learning, behavior, and mental health
