Setting: Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient, or Skilled Nursing (varies by assignment)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our healthcare team on a local or travel contract assignment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and treatment while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Experience documenting in Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is strongly preferred.
This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking flexible contract assignments in a variety of healthcare settings across the country.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.

Perform bedside swallow evaluations and recommend appropriate dietary modifications when indicated.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, and communication strategies.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately using Epic EMR.

Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and professional practice guidelines.

Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary rounds as assigned.

Maintain productivity standards while providing high-quality patient care.
QualificationsRequired
-
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the applicable state.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA.

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).

Minimum of one (1) year of recent clinical experience (setting may vary by assignment).

Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Previous experience using Epic EMR.

Prior travel healthcare or contract experience.

Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing.

FEES or Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) experience, when applicable.
