The AP/AR Specialist will play a critical role within a large finance team by managing accounts payable and receivable processes accurately and efficiently. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and ultimately to the CFO or Director of Finance, this position involves regular interaction with internal departments and vendors, ensuring smooth financial operations. The role requires proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP and includes occasional travel for vendor meetings or training.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices and payments accurately and timely
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain financial records
- Generate and analyze financial reports related to AP/AR
- Communicate regularly with customers and vendors to resolve issues
- Manage vendor accounts and ensure compliance with payment terms
- Enter data precisely to maintain up-to-date financial information
- Support audits by providing required documentation and information
- Address and resolve billing disputes effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounting roles
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
