About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through final closeout while maintaining project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial construction experience, estimating knowledge, and a solid understanding of building systems, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP).

What You'll Do

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Lead and support project teams, including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Administrators.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Oversee preconstruction activities, including bidding, estimating, subcontractor procurement, and value engineering.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project financials, owner billings, forecasts, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues proactively, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Build strong client relationships that support successful project delivery and future business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction Project Management experience.
  • Experience managing commercial projects from $20M-$40M
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong estimating and budgeting experience.
  • Working knowledge of commercial building systems, especially MEP.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Experience using estimating and construction accounting software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED AP certification.
  • Experience with advanced technology or life science facilities.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and GLP environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction best practices.
