Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to assist in implementing instructional plans and adapting materials as needed
- Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
- Willingness to collaborate as part of a team and take direction from lead educators
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in education is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under teacher supervision
- Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and managing classroom routines
- Offer one-on-one or small group support to students, supporting their academic growth and social development
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
- Foster an atmosphere of respect, encouragement, and inclusivity
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as directed
