A well-established importer and wholesale distributor of general merchandise and food products based in Vernon, California. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support our daily operations and customer service team. If you excel at multitasking, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced wholesale environment, we want you on our team!


Salary & Benefits


  • Pay Rate: 23 to 25 DOE
  • Schedule Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm

Responsibilities


  • Provide daily administrative support for our import and wholesale operations.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, freight forwarders, and carriers by phone and email.
  • Process customer orders, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules, import documentation, and logistics.
  • Work closely with sales, purchasing, and warehouse departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with inventory management, order tracking, and general office duties.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.


Qualifications


  • Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of experience in the import, wholesale, or distribution industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with shipping, logistics, freight, and import documentation. Experience with general merchandise or food products is highly preferred.
  • Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency, including:
    • Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Email and internet applications.
    • Familiarity with AI tools (like ChatGPT or similar productivity software) is a plus.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and written/verbal communication skills. Strong math and analytical skills (ability to calculate pricing, margins, costs, and quantities accurately).
  • Attributes: Professional, customer-focused, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
