Schedule: Monday - Saturday; 8:30am - 5:00pm
Different rotating day off each week
Job Responsibilities:
- Pull and prepare orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Safe loading and unloading of containers, company trucks and customer vehicles.
- Correctly receiving and storing inventory.
- Return merchandise to correct department daily.
- Restock merchandise as needed.
- Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Operate all equipment including stand-up forklift, sit down forklift, cherry picker, reach truck, electric pallet jack, wave machine and turret truck if applicable.
- Conduct daily equipment checklist prior to operating machinery. Notify the manager if repairs are needed.
- Operate warehousing equipment in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
- Work effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
- Comply with all company and department policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- 1+ year of experience using stand up forklift, sit down forklift and electric pallet jack.
- Basic math skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Forklift Certified.
Skills:
- Requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand long periods of time.
- Required to walk frequently.
- Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Required to reach with hands and arms.
- Required to talk or hear.
- Required to bend, lift or climb.
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Finger dexterity required.
- Hand coordination required.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to warehouse temperature environment.
- Protective clothing or equipment is required including protective helmets company issued uniforms.
- The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate.
