Multi-Modality Specialist

Job Summary

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple medical imaging modalities according to established protocols and physician orders. Operates imaging equipment safely and effectively, provides patient care, and supports the efficient operation of the medical imaging department.

Education & Experience

* Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent — Required
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent — Preferred
* Three years of technical experience — Preferred

### Licenses & Certifications

* Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice — Required
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification — Required
* ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) certification — Required
* Current certification in an advanced imaging modality such as CT, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, or PET — Required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — Required

### Key Responsibilities

* Performs diagnostic imaging examinations across multiple modalities according to established protocols.
* Competently performs at least three imaging modalities as required by the department.
* Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely and effectively.
* Prepares and positions patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
* Performs mobile imaging examinations as assigned.
* Prepares and administers contrast agents according to established procedures and safety protocols.
* Transfers and transports patients safely using appropriate equipment and techniques.
* Performs required equipment, safety, and quality control checks.
* Maintains accurate patient and procedure documentation.
* Supports departmental operations and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
