Reports To: Shipping and Receiving Manager at Silicon Resourcing Solutions, LLC.

Summary

Operate several different types of production machinery (i.e. sandblasters, forklift, breaking tools); perform various manual labor tasks as needed in the different departments of the organization; capable of acquiring the necessary skills and training to act as “back up” in different departments when needed (up to and including the Chemical Etch line Dept.) The Production Operator must be capable of reading and writing, as well as follow verbal/written instructions and have a basic understanding of shop travelers, quality documentation (i.e. in process inspection logs and variance reports). As a Production Operator with this temporary job transfer you will support the Shipping and Receiving Department, the proper packaging for the shipments, helping the Department to create the shipping documents, inventory and shipping logs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
  • Read travelers or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Stack cargo in locations as directed, using pallets or cargo boards.
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Package materials for shipping and FGI according to traveler requirements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all in-process documentation is filled out completely and correctly.
  • Report any QC issues.
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
  • Immediately report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and/or piece of equipment.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Any other task assigned by manager.

As needed support other area of the operation and production:

· Chip product to remove large contamination

· Inspect product for smaller contamination and sort it according to specifications

· Use of probes to determine resistivity and sort according to specifications

· Break product to size specifications

· Operate equipment/machinery in a safe and efficient manner (i.e. sandblasters, hot probe, forklift, breaking tools, pallet jack, etc)

· Load, unload and move product baskets for the purpose of drying

· Properly bag and pack material according to specifications

· Minor maintenance repairs (depending on assigned department)

· Calibrate equipment

· Be able to lift 55 lbs. per two people.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must have ability to follow instructions.
  • At a minimum, must have basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • At a minimum, must have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to understand and speak English.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Language Skills

English language skills. Spanish speaking is an advantage but not a must.
