Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students' well-being and development in the San Juan Capistrano area as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This full-time contract assignment offers you the chance to work onsite across schools in Laguna Niguel and an Early Childhood Center. With start dates as soon as possible, assignments extend through June 5th or April, providing flexibility for your schedule. Experienced school-based OTs who thrive in collaborative environments and can immediately contribute will find this role both rewarding and dynamic.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active California Occupational Therapist licensure (no COTAs)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based occupational therapy
- Comfort with itinerant assignments and adapting to varied school settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Willingness to support an LOA, handling caseloads spanning early childhood through higher elementary grades
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to students across assigned schools
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans tailored to school environments
- Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Travel between multiple sites in the Laguna Niguel area and support the Early Childhood Center
- Maintain thorough records, progress reports, and service documentation
- Contribute to IEP meetings and support compliance with all state and federal guidelines
