This contract opportunity is designed for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to make a difference by collaborating thoughtfully with speech-language pathologists to deliver high-quality services.
In this position, you’ll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, giving you the chance to balance your professional and personal life. Your role will encompass working one-on-one and in small groups with students, all while building communication skills that open doors to their future successes.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Must hold a valid SLPA license or certification in the state of California
- Previous experience working with children, especially in a school setting, is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive and patient attitude when working with young students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs and other team members
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in implementing speech-language therapy plans for students in grades PK-6
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as directed
- Provide support during assessment activities under SLP supervision
- Prepare and organize instructional materials for therapy sessions
- Communicate effectively with staff and families as needed
