A busy hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract assignment. This role offers an opportunity to apply clinical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patient care alongside medical teams.
Location:
- San Francisco, CA (Oakland area)
Schedule:
- Variable days and afternoons
- Mostly 8-hour shifts
Duration:
- 13 weeks with potential for extension
- Immediate start preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders efficiently and accurately
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies
- Utilize hospital technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- California Pharmacist license required
- Open to new graduates eager to gain hospital experience
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital setting
- Prior experience with EPIC and Pyxis is a plus but not mandatory
