Job Title: Failure Analysis Engineer I
Work Site: Sylmar, CA 91342 – Onsite
Duration: 06 Months Contract with possible extension
Shift/Schedule: 1st/ 8:00AM-5:00 PM
Job Description:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
- Duties: Troubleshooting and failure analysis of electronic circuits, both analogue and digital. Understanding of schematics and how the components of a circuit function.
- Proficient in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Access. Knowledge of the common failure modes of electronic components and assemblies.
- Ability to design, build, and assemble prototype circuits for test fixtures.
- Document quality issues and performance measures for management review. May liaise with external vendors.

- Knowledge of the common failure modes of electronic components and assemblies.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
Entry level role but some experience would be helpful. Candidate will be trained. Bachelor's required - Master's also okay. Degree needs to be in Electrical Engineering but Electronics Engineering would be okay if the candidate also has relevant experience. Soft skills very important - communication both verbal and written, fast learner, self motivation. Relocation at own expense okay. Potential to extend and/or convert to FTE for right candidate but no guarantee.
