Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Repair TechnicianLocation: San Fernando Valley, CA
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts (OT may be require)
This position involves working from Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), electrical drawings, schematics, work instructions, work orders, and teardown documentation to complete assigned repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs according to CMMs, work instructions, work orders, teardown reports, and applicable customer requirements.
- Build and repair electrical assemblies using drawings and schematics.
- Operate calibrated wire crimpers, wire strippers, hand tools, fixtures, and related tooling.
- Complete electrical installation and repair assignments according to established procedures.
- Identify and report product, process, or quality-related issues.
- Assist with resolving problems and verifying that corrective actions have been completed.
- Communicate work status clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide assistance or guidance to team members when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous related hands-on work experience.
- Ability to work from electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to use wire crimpers, wire strippers, hand tools, fixtures, and related equipment.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and established repair procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions when necessary.
- Team-oriented and dependable.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Preferred Experience
- Approximately 3 years of experience reading and working from aerospace electrical schematics.
- Aircraft wire harness experience.
- Previous aerospace electrical repair or related manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout a 10-hour workday.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, fixtures, and related equipment.
