This travel pharmacist position offers an excellent opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services within a 250-bed hospital setting in Northern California. The role involves dynamic responsibilities supporting patient care and pharmacy operations during a flexible schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, including varying afternoons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support their task management
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff through clinical consultations
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication therapy
- Utilize Cerner and Omnicell IT systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license required
- Willingness to travel and work in Northern California regions
- Positive, professional attitude with strong communication skills
- Completion of a PGY1 residency is highly preferred
Location:Cottonwood, CA
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Variable days, primarily afternoons
