Responsibilities:

• Assist machinists with the setup and operation of CNC and manual machine tools
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
• Perform basic machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, and grinding
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with shop standards
• Support inventory management and assist with material handling and staging
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure parts meet required tolerances and specifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or trade school coursework a plus
• Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn precision machining
• Ability to read basic blueprints or willingness to learn technical drawing interpretation
• Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented shop environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
