Summer Healthcare Internship for EMTs & Nursing Students (San Diego Area)
Are you an EMT, nursing student, pre-med student, or healthcare professional looking for a summer job or internship in San Diego where you can gain real-world experience?
Padres Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Camp Nurse / EMT Staff to provide on-site medical care and health supervision for youth camps throughout San Diego County.
This is a unique opportunity to build hands-on patient care experience in a fast-paced, outdoor environment while working with youth.

Key Responsibilities (Medical-Focused)
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to campers and staff
- Respond to injuries, illnesses, and health-related incidents
- Manage medications and allergies (including EpiPens)
- Maintain accurate medical and incident reports
- Communicate with parents regarding health concerns
- Conduct daily health checks and monitor camper well-being
- Ensure a safe and proactive health environment
Who Were Looking For
- EMTs, nursing students, pre-med students, or healthcare professionals
- Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified
- Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or patient care
- Comfortable working independently in a camp setting
- Experience working with children is a plus (not required)
- Responsible, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
Schedule & Commitment
- MondayFriday (~8-hour days)
- June 8 August 14, 2026
- Candidates must be available to commute to multiple San Diego camp locations
