Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM–6:30 PM
Location: Lancaster, CA
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult patients. The physician will evaluate and diagnose patients, manage acute and chronic conditions, develop treatment and preventive-care plans, coordinate referrals, and ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients in an outpatient setting.
- Manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop individualized care and preventive health plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
- Review and sign laboratory and radiology results and arrange follow-up when needed.
- Initiate and coordinate specialist referrals.
- Supervise mid-level providers.
- Participate in care-team huddles, provider meetings, and staff meetings.
- Maintain a productivity target of approximately 16–24 patients per day.
- Provide compassionate, professional care to an underserved patient population.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable standards of care.
Requirements:
- MD/DO with at least 3 years of experience after residency.
- Active California medical license.
- DEA certificate.
- CPR certification.
- Must be eligible for successful credentialing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- FQHC experience.
- Experience serving underserved or homeless populations.
- Familiarity with healthcare quality measures.
- Previous Program Manager experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Strong business and leadership skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, perform repetitive movements, and lift up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be provided where applicable.
Travel:
Occasional local and out-of-area travel may be required for training or temporary staffing needs.
