Corporate Associate – Private Equity & M&A

Full-Time
$390,000 – $410,000 annually
A leading global law firm is seeking a 6th year Corporate Associate to join its San Francisco office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated private equity, M&A, and growth equity transactions for clients across a wide range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, growth equity investments, and corporate governance matters
- Draft and negotiate primary transaction documents
- Lead due diligence efforts and manage deal execution from inception through closing
- Coordinate with junior associates and specialist teams across complex transactions
- Work directly with private equity firms, portfolio companies, management teams, and investors on domestic and cross-border matters
Qualifications
- 6+ years of corporate transactional experience, ideally with a focus on private equity and M&A
- Strong drafting, communication, and project management skills
- Experience managing complex diligence and transaction workflows
- Ability to take ownership of client matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong academic credentials required
