Job Description
Proteus Industries is a liquid flow meter manufacturer looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team. Our products are widely used by semiconductor equipment, automotive, and other industrial customers.

The Buyer responsibilities will include:
\n
- \n
- Review purchase requisitions, drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures
- Manage performance of purchase orders and suppliers, ensures compliance with all ISO-9001 requirements as well as company policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
- Specifying solicitations and bid packages
- Identifying strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
- Evaluating proposals and negotiating prices/terms
- Prepare metric reports related to procurement to be presented to management

Basic Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- At least 2-3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A stable work history

\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of professional experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or related fields
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
- Proficiency in MRP systems such as SAP or Expandable
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
