Interior Designer - Technical Design & Visualization
Job Description
Studio Balestra is seeking a talented Interior Designer with exceptional skills in interior rendering, AutoCAD, elevations, space planning, and technical drawing to join our Los Angeles studio.

Working closely with the Principal, the designer will help develop and execute high-end residential projects from concept through installation. The role requires someone who can take ownership of assigned projects and translate creative direction, markups, and feedback into thoughtful, highly resolved work.

Responsibilities include producing high-quality photorealistic renderings; developing floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, millwork, and technical drawings; preparing design presentations and material selections; sourcing and specifying furniture, lighting, and finishes; and developing custom furniture details.

\n
The designer will also coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and fabricators; review shop drawings and samples; assist with procurement and proposals; and maintain clear project priorities, deadlines, and progress updates.
\n
\n
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, responsive, technically confident, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Principal and studio team. The ideal candidate is comfortable receiving creative direction, incorporating feedback efficiently, and taking responsibility for projects and deliverables from development through completion.

Studio Balestra works on a selective number of highly considered residential projects, allowing our team to remain closely involved in every aspect of the design and execution.

This is initially a part-time hybrid position of approximately 20–25 hours per week, with regular presence required at our Los Angeles studio and flexibility for remote work depending on project needs. There is potential for the position to grow as the studio’s project pipeline expands.

Portfolio submission is required. Candidates must include examples of their own interior renderings, elevations, floor plans, and technical drawings with their application.
