Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Emergency Department – Eureka, CA 95501\n

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Northern California coastal region

\n

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:00), weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends. 40 hours of orientation provided. Patient ratio of 4:1. Facility sees approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms and 26 beds available. Average daily census of 105 patients.

Requirements:\n

    \n
  • Active California state RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted)
  • \n

  • Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience required
  • \n

  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required; TNCC and ENPC preferred (TNCC must be obtained prior to start if not currently certified)
  • \n

  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred
  • \n

  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • \n

  • Proficiency in emergency medications, IV management, trauma care, procedural sedation, triage, and management of diverse patient populations
  • \n

  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • \n

  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • \n
