SUMMARY\n
\n
\nTechnical ownership of hardware produced for applicable customers while supporting FMI to achieve established processing and financial targets.\n
\n
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n
\n
\nDuties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be required and assigned at any time. \n
\n
\nPrimary technical contact for applicable customers.\n
\n
\nDevelop, modify, improve, and troubleshoot the processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings.\n
\n
\nMetallurgical failure analysis and disposition for applicable customers, including generation of non-dimensional concessions for customer review.\n
\n
\nOwnership of new part introduction (NPI) for applicable customers, including final review of qualification packages prior to customer review.\n
\n
\nPerform various Metallurgy Department projects including planning, organizing data collection, and presentation.\n
\n
\nInitiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve targets established by Supervisor.\n
\n
\nRelease hardware for production utilizing processes that are designed to meet or exceed customer technical (metallurgical and quality) requirements as specified on purchase orders, blueprints, specifications or other related documents.\n
\n
\nReview of new and revised technical (material, process, quality, etc) specifications, as necessary.\n
\n

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n
\n
\nBachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Sciences or related field. 3-years minimum experience in metallurgical, engineering, forging.\n
\n
\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\n
\n
\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\n

LANGUAGE SKILLS\n
\n
\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.\n
\n
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS\n
\n
\nAbility to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.\n
\n
REASONING ABILITY\n
\n
\nAbility to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.\n

\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\n

\nProficient with ERP systems\n

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\n

\nAmerican Society of Metals (ASM) registration.\n
\n
\nMust meet the requirements pertaining to Vision Acuity Testing under the Quality Assurance Manual.\n

PAY RATE\n

\n$90k - $120k/year depending on experience\n
