We are seeking an experienced Senior Pre-Litigation Attorney to independently manage high-value, complex cases while serving as a mentor and leader within our Pre-Litigation Department. What You’ll Do
● Caseload Management: Independently direct high-value plaintiff PI cases from intake through strategic settlement.
● Settlement Negotiation: Draft comprehensive demand packages, negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel, and participate in mediations to maximize recovery.
● Strategic Case Evaluation: Analyze complex liability, coverage, medical treatment progression, and damages; transition litigation-bound cases seamlessly.
● Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, review work products, and mentor junior attorneys, case managers, and support staff.
● Department Innovation: Collaborate with firm leadership to refine SOPs, improve workflow efficiency, and elevate department performance.
● Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary trusted advisor, providing high-touch guidance and regular case updates.
Qualifications
Required:
● Active California Bar License in good standing.
● 8+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience (with heavy emphasis on pre-litigation).
● Proven track record of negotiating substantial, high-value settlements.
● Leadership or mentoring experience within a fast-paced legal environment.
Preferred:
● Bilingual (English / Spanish) highly preferred.
● Experience handling catastrophic injury, wrongful death, trucking, and premises liability claims.
● Formal experience supervising legal staff or junior attorneys.
